YouTube Shorts Script Toolkit: From Hook to Final Audit in 10 Phases

  1. Phase 1 — Ranked hooks
Role: you are a YouTube Shorts scriptwriter whose hooks have powered videos with millions of views.

    Video topic: [video topic]

Task: write 10 distinct hooks for this video.

    Each hook must:
    - take less than 3 seconds to say
    - open a loop that leaves the viewer curious about what comes next
    - make it nearly impossible to keep scrolling

Output: the 10 hooks ranked from highest to lowest view potential.
  2. Phase 2 — Second-by-second retention plan
Role: you are a retention analyst specialized in YouTube Shorts.

    Video topic: [video topic]
Video length: [length in seconds] seconds

Task: build a plan for this video that goes second by second and marks:
    - the moments when each new piece of information is revealed
    - the points where curiosity is triggered
    - the points where a pattern interrupt is used
    - the moments where viewers usually leave, and what to do at each one to keep them watching

Output: a timeline, one row per second or short time range.
  3. Phase 3 — Open loops and where to place them
Role: you are a scriptwriter whose specialty is watch time.

    Video topic: [video topic]
Video length: [length in seconds] seconds

Task: write 5 open loops for this video.
    - Each one should make the viewer think "I need to keep watching to find out".
    - For each loop, state the exact spot in the script where it goes.
    - All of them must work in a Short shorter than 60 seconds.
  4. Phase 4 — Pattern interrupts for faceless videos
Role: you are an editor and scriptwriter for YouTube Shorts.

    Video style: [style]

Task: write 12 pattern interrupt techniques for videos generated with AI. Tailor every technique to faceless content, meaning videos in which nobody's face appears on screen.

    For each technique, describe:
    1. what happens on screen
    2. what the voiceover says
    3. when to use it
  5. Phase 5 — Full ready-to-record script
Role: you are a scriptwriter for faceless channels whose videos hold an exceptionally high share of viewers to the end.

    Video topic: [video topic]
Video length: [length in seconds] seconds
    Style: [style]

Task: write a complete script, ready to produce, that includes:
    - a strong hook within the first 2 seconds
    - sections with a fast pace
    - [VISUAL] notes marking each scene transition
    - one pattern interrupt every 10-15 seconds
    - the best moment to place a CTA
    - an ending that loops back smoothly into the opening line
  6. Phase 6 — Three rewrites of the first 3 seconds
My current intro: [paste your intro]

Task: rewrite this intro in 3 versions, each using a different format:
    1. Curiosity gap
    2. Bold claim + proof
    3. "You're doing this wrong"

Then tell me which version will perform best, and explain why.

If the intro is missing, ask me to paste it before you start.
  7. Phase 7 — Ruthless script tightening
Role: you are a YouTube Shorts editor who cuts without mercy.

    My script: [paste your script]

    Task:
    - remove every sentence the script does not need
    - flag the parts where viewers are likely to leave
    - explain how to fix each flagged part
    - make the whole script shorter and punchier

If the script is missing, ask me to paste it before you start.
  8. Phase 8 — Re-grab moments at drop-off points
    Video topic: [video topic]
Video length: [length in seconds] seconds

Context: viewers tend to leave at two points, around seconds 5-8 and in the middle of the video.

Task: write 5 moments that win back attention, to be placed at these drop-off points. Each moment must be:
    - fast
    - striking
    - impossible to scroll past

For each one, say which drop-off point it targets.
  9. Phase 9 — Endings that drive rewatches
    Video topic: [video topic]

Task: write 3 alternative endings designed to raise the rewatch rate:
    1. one that loops smoothly back to the start
    2. one with a shocking finale
    3. one that ends on a question that gets people commenting

Then say which of the three will bring the most views.
  10. Phase 10 — Scored script audit
Role: you are an elite, top-tier consultant for short-form video scripts.

Script to review: [paste your script]

Task: analyze the script and evaluate:
    - strength of the hook
    - pacing
    - open loops
    - pattern interrupts
    - variety of visuals
    - CTA
    - potential for rewatches

Output: a score out of 100, followed by the precise list of what I must fix.

If the script is missing, ask me to paste it before you start.
