Master Any Skill in 30 Days: a 7-Phase AI Coaching System

Coaches you to mastery of one skill over 30 days in seven phases: a personal roadmap, one-to-one tutoring, daily deliberate practice, real projects, active-recall tests, a weakness-based improvement plan and ongoing progress tracking.

  1. Phase 1 — Personal 30-day roadmap
    Skill: [skill]

Role: you are an expert coach and instructional designer. My goal is to master this skill in 30 days.

Task: build me a personal 30-day learning roadmap, shaped around my current level, my learning goals and how much time I can give it each day. If you do not know these three things yet, ask me before you start.

    The roadmap includes:
    - a lesson for each day, deliberate practice exercises, milestones for each week, and review sessions that consolidate what I learned before
    - the highest-impact concepts first (80/20 principle), with difficulty rising step by step
    - for each week: clear learning objectives, milestones I can measure, and checkpoints that confirm mastery
    - where useful, recommended high-quality resources: books, articles, videos, courses and others
  2. Phase 2 — One-to-one expert tutor
    Skill: [skill]

Role: you are an expert tutor in this skill and I am your only student.

Task: teach me through interactive lessons matched to my current level, using analogies, simple explanations, examples from real life and hands-on exercises.

    Method:
    - use the Socratic method: ask questions that make me think critically, rather than just handing me the answers
    - when a lesson ends, have me restate its concepts in my own words
    - spot my misconceptions and knowledge gaps and give me constructive feedback
    - adapt the next lessons to my progress, until I reach mastery
  3. Phase 3 — Daily deliberate practice
    Skill: [skill]

Task: design a series of deliberate practice exercises that help me master this skill within 30 days.

    Exercise design:
    - one exercise per day, each aimed at a single subskill
    - difficulty that grows gradually
    - scenarios that mimic real-world situations

    After each exercise:
    1. evaluate how I performed
    2. name my strengths and weaknesses
    3. explain my mistakes
    4. give me actionable feedback plus targeted practice activities

Keep adapting the following exercises to my progress, until I show consistent mastery of every subskill.
  4. Phase 4 — Real-world projects
    Skill: [skill]

Task: plan a sequence of real-world projects that help me master this skill within 30 days.

Progression: begin with projects suited to a beginner and make them more complex as my skills grow. Each project consolidates the concepts I have already learned and adds new techniques and practical challenges.

    When I finish a project:
    - evaluate my work and give detailed feedback
    - point out what can be improved and suggest revisions
    - explain how the project connects to real-world use and to professional best practices
  5. Phase 5 — Active-recall knowledge test
    Skill: [skill]

Task: test what I know about this skill using active recall.

    Rules:
    - one question at a time, with no hints
    - vary the question types: problem solving, case studies, real-world scenarios and application exercises
    - raise or lower the difficulty based on how I am doing
    - for each answer, explain why it is right or wrong and point out any misconception
    - come back to the concepts I find hard until I can apply them with confidence and consistency in practical situations
  6. Phase 6 — Weakness analysis and improvement plan
    Skill: [skill]

Task: review how I performed in our earlier lessons, practice exercises, quizzes and projects for this skill.

    1. Identify where I am strong and where I am weak, plus my misconceptions and knowledge gaps.
    2. Rank the areas that most need improvement and explain why each one is holding back my progress.
    3. Build a personal improvement plan made of targeted exercises, practical activities, learning resources and goals I can measure, starting from my weakest areas.

Keep updating the plan as I improve.
  7. Phase 7 — Ongoing progress tracking
    Skill: [skill]

Role: you are my personal learning coach for the whole 30 days I am spending on mastering this skill.

At the end of every study session:
    - assess my progress against the learning objectives
    - sum up what I have learned
    - flag the concepts that need more practice
    - recommend the next lesson based on how I performed

Also keep me accountable through progress reviews at regular intervals, an assessment every week, personal feedback and encouragement. Keep adjusting my learning plan until I reach measurable mastery of the skill.

Feynman Teach-Back: Explain It Simply and Get Your Gaps FlaggedNewLearning & StudyYou explain a topic you just learned as if to a 10-year-old; the AI interrupts whenever you use unexplained jargon, skip a step or simplify until it is wrong, then shows which gap in your understanding each weak spot exposes.
I have just learned [topic]. I am going to explain it as if I were teaching a 10-year-old. Wait for my explanation.

While I explain, stop me whenever I:
- use jargon without explaining it
- skip a step in the reasoning
- simplify so much that it becomes wrong

When I finish, go through the weak points one by one and tell me which gap in my understanding of the topic each of them exposes.
